History

«Baltic Fuel Company» headquartered in St. Petersburg was established in 2008 and traditionally holding leadership in the market of bunkering services in the ports of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

For more than 15 years the Group of companies has successfully operated its own tanker fleet  supplying high quality fuel and lube oils of all grades for sailing vessels. «Baltic Fuel Company» has all necessary licenses of the Transport Ministry Department of Sea and River Transport of Russian Federation to carry out its activity either on Russian inland waterways or at sea and river ports.

The main activities of «Baltic Fuel Company» include:

 Vessel bunkering with oil products:

  • Baltic Fuel Company supplies ships with all types of marine fuel in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, on the Neva river and in the Black Sea Basin ports.

Quality services for oil products transshipment:

  • The oil terminal is intended for transshipment of oil products and bunker fuel onto tankers and bunkering ships with capacity of up to 20,000 tonnes and draft of up to 9 meters.;
  • Annual handling of oil products makes 1.8 million tonnes. There is a plan to boost throughput to 4-5 million tonnes;
  • The arrival of oil products is carried out by rail, road and inland water transport;
  • There is an in-house track with a link to railway station Avtovo via TPP-14;
  • The terminal is currently a site for construction of a bitumen terminal.

Ecological services (collection and utilization of bilge and oily waters):

  • Licensed for collection, transportation, utilization, neutralization and disposal of hazardous waste;
  • Licensed for collection, transportation, utilization, neutralization and disposal of hazardous waste;
  • In-house treatment plant GOS-1 for processing of liquid oily waste supplied by both ships and road transport;
  • Waste treatment plant accepts the following products for disposal: waste of oil product emulsion and transmix, bilge water, waste oil and oil and oil product sludge.

Maintaining of Oil Spill Response Team (OSRT) readiness for localization and liquidation of oil spills at the Port of St. Petersburg, in the Gulf of Finland and at the Port of Novorossiysk;

Oil products wholesale trade;

Towage services for vessels;

Providing services for operation of bunker vessels owned by third-party companies.

High quality of oil products we supply is guaranteed by our partners - major Russian oil companies and the tough quality control system at «Baltic Fuel Company». The company’s bunkering fleet comprises more than 20 ships.

The company’s divisions are members of the Association of Russian Marine and River Bunker Suppliers and the St. Petersburg Petroleum Club (Russian Federation). The divisions are also listed in the Register of bunkering companies of the Interdepartmental Commission on oil products turnover in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
