OSR Teams

Carrying out Oil Spill Readiness and Response at the Big Port St. Petersburg, in the waters of the Gulf of Finland, at port Novorossiysk, port Kavkaz, port Temryuk and port Tuapse.

«Baltic Fuel Company» has 2 certified emergency response units - Oil Spill Response Teams (OSRT) authorized to conduct oil spill, rescue and other incident response operations related to emergency situations. The activity of each OSRT is aimed to localization and elimination of oil spills at sea up to 500 tons of oil products.

The Company has been certificated by the Interdepartmental Commission of the Russian Ministry of Transport and by the Russian EMERCOM’s North-West Regional department. The two certificates have equal validity.

The well-trained OSR teams have all the necessary equipment for oil spills elimination in the waters of Big Port St. Petersburg, Primorsk, Ust-Luga, Vysotsk and port Novorossiysk, port Kavkaz, port Temryuk and port Tuapse from the ships with total capacity of two largest cargoes holds not exceeding 500 mt.

Each OSR team of 20 rescuers is equipped with skimmers, boats for deployment of oil-containment booms and barges. Besides, «Baltic Fuel Company» has an oily wastes recycling facility GOS-1.
